We had a quick stop at Jenolan Caves when we left Kanangra-Boyd NP and did the tour of the Imperial Cave which has a stream running through it. The water was amazingly clear and still at one point – so much so that we didn’t realise it was water at first. We even saw a cave bat for Matthew to add to his list of animals.
The only problem we had is that they close the road from Jenolan Caves towards Sydney between 11.45am and 1.15pm everyday. Our tour finished at 11.30am and we just missed the closure (our car clock said 11.46am!), so that added about 45mins to our long drive to Myall Lakes.
